Wilma:
People in America moved themselves around, and needed pigs to eat.
So pigs in America moved around, too, walking here and there.
Pigs walked across mountains and through valleys, because the drovers said to.
Everyone knows about cattle drives, but that cow stuff lasted just two decades.
Hog drives happened for more than fifty years,
Walking hundreds of thousands of pigs from Tennessee and Kentucky to the east coast and the south.
Pigs took themselves to market, and drovers followed along behind.
Mona:
Lots of people ate
lots of pigs, so lots of pigs
walked themselves all over.
