Early December in the Year of the Cat

Greetings.

The level of my feed bowl has not been restored, and I must conclude that the unfortunate rationing regime is still in place. Additionally, an Assistant Barn Cat has not yet materialized at the Patch, even though my entreaties for aid have extended for nearly twelve months now.

Based on these two intolerable conditions, I am announcing my decision to unilaterally withdraw you, as Feeder, from any benefits of the Patch Translation Project. As a feline of intellectual acuity and with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, I will continue to conduct said project, to the benefit of all life forms. However, as you have not indicated a willingness to appropriately compensate me for my efforts, I must therefore, as a matter of self-respect, conclude my association with your exploitative regime. Henceforth, you will not be receiving the bi-monthly dispatches upon which I know you have come to depend.

It is with great sadness that I conclude our correspondence and return to civilian life, sorrowful at your inability to overcome the limitations of your species.
